  • We represented a national real estate developer in a $100 million partnership dispute in connection with a joint venture to develop a major New York City property.
  • We represented a major real estate mezzanine lender in connection with a series of disputes and problems inherited in the nine-figure UCC foreclosure of a high-profile New York City development.
  • We represent one of the major New York City real estate brokerages in a variety of client and co-brokerage disputes.
  • We represented a major New York City real estate developer in a dispute over the ownership and control of the fee interest in real estate in lower Manhattan.
  • We represented an investor in and operator of off-campus housing facilities at major universities in a partnership dispute with co-investors over the control and management of certain housing facilities at a Michigan university.

  • We represented a partner in a privately held real estate business in an action in Delaware Chancery Court alleging oppression of a minority owner.
  • We represented the owner of apartments in a major New York City hotel in connection with claims against a former partner in a cooperative corporation investment company.
  • We defended a minority partner and a contractor in a real estate venture against an array of breach of contract and fraud claims.
  • We represented a major national retailer in connection with a dispute with a landlord at one of its retail locations regarding the cost for major roof repairs.
  • We represented a seller of property in Coney Island to a developer in connection with disputes arising out of a real estate contract.
  • We represented a prominent money fund manager asserting claims in New York Supreme Court arising out of wrongdoing by a general contractor hired to renovate a high-value residential New York City co-op apartment.
  • We prosecuted a claim for the breach of a shopping center lease, resulting in the modification of the lease providing substantial landlord concessions to the client and recovery of most attorneys’ fees.
  • We represented the California court-appointed receiver for a medical provider finance company in two New York matters, including foreclosure of a $9 million mortgage on a hospital property.
  • We defended a real estate company against a $300,000 electricity overcharge claim by a Manhattan office building tenant.
  • We prosecuted a claim by a GE real estate subsidiary, as the owner of a major Manhattan office building, against a tenant that refused to pay as “additional rent” its share of several years’ worth of capital expense associated with re-pointing the building’s brick veneer.
  • We represented a beleaguered client facing a summary judgment motion that threatened him with $15 million of lease liability as a partner in a failed and insolvent retail tenant.
  • We represented a real estate broker in his action to recover a commission on his client’s secret purchase of a $10 million multi-use building in midtown Manhattan.
  • We represented an Australian investor in a dispute over a $3 million investment in real property in New York.
  • We represented a New York City watch retailer in a lease dispute with a major New York landlord.
